It's Turkey Day!

Adam's been running around the house singing a song he probably learned in his first grade class. It goes something like this:

It's Turkey Day,
It's Turkey Day;
Lets stuff that turkey and go out and play

Our turkey was very good. One of the things I'm thankful for. Here are a few more:

Flowas!

30 cent golden birds.

Horses.

Home made snowflakes.

My sister, who is now 12 years old. Crazy huh?!

The fall colors.

Also thankful for all my awesome friends in and out of state. Love ya'll!

What are you thankful for?

Catching up

I get to go see Harry Potter 7 on Thursday, and I'm TOTALLY pumped!! I get to go with Tay and it's gonna be SO FUN!! I'm so excited!! I also read half of the fourth Harry Potter book yesterday and I've never read that fast before so I was very amazed with myself.
My arms are also VERY sore, and I will tell you why. I am not taking P.E. this year (or last year) and all I've been doing is running/walking (mostly walking) with my mom in the mornings. I felt like I was on the verge of getting fat any day (cause I wasn't doing enough) so I decided to do some of those elementary school exercises. I know, pretty lame. So, I stretched, I did sit-ups, jumping-jacks, and then... push-ups. I did fifty. I know what you're thinking, "Oh, fifty ain't that bad!" Well, not for me. I can't even put a grape into my mouth without feeling The Burn. I'm so sore! It hurts! I feel like such a weakling...but that's okay 'cause I had fun at horse-back riding this morning.
I learned how to do leg-wraps on horses and I passed my "test." My instructor has our little group do a pattern every 3 months or so... I don't know why..for fun I guess. It's fun for us anyway. It was lots of fun! I love how two of my friends from school get to ride with me every Saturday. Our instructor also sometimes lets us go out after school and ride for fun. Sometime between now and Christmas Break, we're gonna get together with and watch horse movies, and that is also going to be very fun!
This talk about the lessons this morning reminded me about Shadow. Did I ever mention that this pony is not only a little brat, but also an escape expert? Today while he was being tacked up he decided to take a stroll down to the neighbors'. He had his bridle on, but still had the halter around his neck as my friend was taking care of something right in front of his little post thing. While her back was turned he slowly backed up and simply started walking away. My instructor came out of the tack shed... "What the..? How did this happen?" Shadow is still stalking away. My instructor started to come to catch him and he started trotting away. He made it all the way to the main street and in front of the barn next to ours. Finally caught him. "Little brat face," says the owner of the stables. Had to chuckle at that. The Owner of the place says he made it all the way down to the end house of that road once. Kind of dangerous. Of course a little pony who's extremely full of himself wouldn't realize that.

So yeah...that's what's going on in my life. Just adding a bit to My Life Story.

By the way, I had to clean a bathroom this morning. Woot, woot!
